Solace.

“ Tunnel Visions “

“ The tunnel has an end. “

“ Solace. “

This concept came from a quote I once saw:
“Don’t make your mind a prison, make it a place that’s loving and kind, because you’re in there (your mind) all the time.” roughly quoted. It resonated with me because there really is no escaping your psyche, which at certain times feels more negative than positive, but of course it is what it is.

So then finding solace in the mind becomes a daily practice that I find extremely crucial for oneself. By learning to sit with your emotions, from the moments when they feel overwhelming and consuming where it begins to feel like tunnel vision in your mind, to later, when there is space to see them with more clarity. By observing how and why certain reactions arise, it becomes possible to gently gather oneself again, piece by piece. Whilst adding in a friendly reminder that the mind often magnifies, turning feelings into something larger than they truly are. But through small, repeated corrections, spoken with kindness rather than judgment, one can gradually create an inner landscape that feels less like confinement and arriving at a place of your own solace.
